At Stable Futures, we’ve created a nurturing and resource-rich environment designed to support children and young people of all ages and abilities. Our learning spaces are equipped to deliver both educational and therapeutic sessions, enabling every learner to engage, grow, and succeed in their own unique way.

Inspiring, Therapeutic Learning Spaces
We offer a creative and engaging Alternative Curriculum, delivered across our carefully designed farm-based learning zones. Each zone is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our learners, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those requiring personalised learning plans.
Our spaces combine the best of indoor and outdoor learning, incorporating visual materials, sensory tools, and animal-assisted interventions. Regular reviews and reflection ensure our learning environments remain dynamic, responsive, and of the highest quality — places where learners are empowered to thrive.
Learning Zones Across The Farm
Since opening, we have continued to expand and enhance our unique learning spaces across the farm site. Each zone has been thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, safe, and engaging atmosphere for education and wellbeing.
Time with the horses
A bespoke therapeutic indoor space offering a calm, relaxing environment for one-to-one sessions, PSHE, wellbeing activities, and mindfulness-based learning.
The Shire Room
A flexible, thoughtfully designed learning space with a secondary school feel, helping young people feel comfortable, secure, and ready to learn.
The Dartmoor Room
A beautifully converted barn filled with natural light. This warm, inviting indoor space is ideal for both group and individual learning experiences.
Outdoor Learning Centre
Nestled among our small animals at the edge of the farm, this secure, open-fronted shelter is fully equipped for Alternative Curriculum sessions, including ASDAN animal care courses.
The Meadow
A vibrant dual-purpose zone, offering a play space at one end and a horticultural and wildlife learning area at the other.
The Yard
Our well-kept yard is where learners participate in Stable Management sessions as part of their equine learning journey, engaging hands-on with our horses.
The Arena
Resurfaced in 2024, this high-quality space supports all our equine-based activities, including Therapeutic Horsemanship, Equine-Facilitated Learning, and RDA sessions.
